We don’t offer self-guided tours. You can either join a guided tour, or rent a motorcycle and travel independently.
An Easy Rider tour means you ride as a pillion passenger on the back of a bike. On a standard tour, you ride the motorcycle yourself.
The main difference is cost. Riding pillion is cheaper because you are not using a motorcycle or fuel, while still using the rest of the tour services. We discount the tour cost by 25% to reflect this.
The riding experience is also different. As a pillion passenger, you can relax more and take more photos.
Yes. We adjust riding conditions to suit the group. For beginner riders, we choose routes and daily distances that work well at that level.
If possible, we increase the challenge gradually as the tour progresses so riders gain confidence and skill. It can be a sharp learning curve.
Yes. We can create bespoke tours.
If you have a fixed group and want your own route, or you prefer not to have unknown riders join, we can arrange that. Most of our tours are private in this way.
Yes, if the tour is open.
An open tour is a group tour made up of individual travellers. Solo travellers are welcome, and we do our best to match like-minded riders who will enjoy travelling together.
This depends on your riding style and the type of roads you plan to take.
The Honda Future is a good option if you are not fully confident with gears. However, it does not offer the same suspension and comfort as the Honda XR150, which we consider the best all-round touring motorcycle.
If you plan to ride off-road or on single track, the Honda CRF250 or CRF300 may be more suitable. If you plan to stay on main roads and cover longer daily distances, the Honda CB500X is a strong choice.
When you make your booking, we will advise you on the motorcycle best suited to your experience and route.
We usually plan for 5 to 6 hours on the road most days, with shorter days and rest days added as needed. Our aim is to arrive at the day’s destination around 4 to 5pm. This gives time to relax before dinner, usually around 7pm.
Daily distances and routes are discussed before the tour and can sometimes be adjusted during the tour by choosing different routes between locations.
Our standard offering is a mix of 3 to 4-star hotels and homestays. Twin share is standard. Single rooms are available with a single supplement.
Hotels are clean and comfortable. We do not use dorm rooms unless the tour organiser specifically requests it.
We prefer groups of 6 to 8 riders. Maximum group size is usually around 10 riders.
Yes. For groups of 7 or more riders, we provide a support vehicle free of charge. For smaller groups, a support vehicle can be arranged at additional cost.
Our guides are skilled mechanics and can handle issues on the road.
For groups of 7 or more riders, we typically have a guide and a mechanic, and usually a support vehicle and driver as well. This helps with maintenance work and emergencies.
We usually dress appropriately and continue the tour.
If the weather is hazardous, we either change the route or stay in place. If major logistical changes are required, this is done at no extra cost. Any additional expenses caused by these changes are covered by us.
Yes. For tour riders who book with us, we provide airport pickup and transfer to Hanoi. Where needed, we can also provide transfer to the airport when you leave.
We prefer to pick riders up on arrival to get you safely to your hotel and help avoid scam taxis. On departure, some riders prefer us to arrange the transfer, while others prefer to stay flexible.
Yes, all meals on tour are included, except on rest days. On riding days we provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On rest days we provide breakfast and dinner, as logistics are more difficult.
Meals are group meals, with enough choice for everyone. We can cater for dietary requirements.
Yes. Fuel, entrance fees, tolls, and ferry fees are all included as part of our running costs.
Usually 20 to 30 USD per day is more than enough.
Our tours are fully inclusive, so spending money is mainly for optional extras such as souvenirs, alcohol, snacks, or massages.
Yes. Single accommodation is available for an additional fee.
No. You must arrange your own medical insurance before arriving in Vietnam.
Yes, we’re happy to accept accept cash in all major currencies.
We do not accept credit or debit card payments. However, we can accept bank transfers through Wise.
It depends on the tour you book. Before the tour, we discuss requested road conditions with the organiser and share that information with all participants.
We can’t guarantee complete compliance due to weather and unforeseen circumstances, but we can give a reliable indication of the expected roads and conditions in advance.
If we have a support vehicle, this is sometimes possible because we can carry your bike on the truck.
This is discouraged. We plan routes carefully in advance and aim for good rest each evening to reduce fatigue.
Yes. We can accommodate dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, and allergies. Vietnamese food is varied, and we do not usually have problems meeting dietary needs.
Yes. Most cafes, restaurants, and hotels provide free WiFi. It is also easy to buy a local SIM card with 5G access so you can stay connected throughout the trip.
Yes. Tips are appreciated for the guide, and also the mechanic and driver where applicable. They work hard to deliver a great experience and spend long periods away from home. We pay them well, but tipping can make a real difference.
You can also think of it as supporting the team so they continue providing great service to future tour groups.
